This should be sufficient for a 4 - 5 kg (9 - 11 lb) turkey.
Ingredients:
4 onions
2 cups breadcrumbs
40g (1 1/2 oz.) melted butter or margarine
Dried sage to taste
Salt and Pepper
1 egg or a little milk
Putting it together:
Peel and finely chop the onions.
Mix all the ingredients together except for the egg/milk.
Add enough egg or milk to bind the mixture. Be careful not to make the
stuffing too wet.
Alternative method:
This method will make a milder tasting stuffing.
The ingredients are the same, the method is a little different.
Peel and quarter the onions.
Put the onions in a pan, cover with salted water and boil until tender.
(Don't use salt if cooking the onions in a microwave)
Drain and finely chop the onions.
Mix the breadcrumbs, dried sage, salt, pepper and melted butter together
then add the onions.
Add egg/milk to bind the mixture. Be careful not to make the stuffing
too wet.
